Hospitality and Catering

Hospitality and Catering offers the opportunity to build upon and develop skills in the kitchen whilst learning about the Hospitality and Catering environment and industry. The course includes a combination of theory work as well as practical work and dish preparation. Students will develop their practical skills and combines some of the traditional elements with industry skills and techniques which could lead to a career in a professional kitchen or catering environment.

Students will expect to develop a range of skills by studying Hospitality and Catering such as

  • An understanding of the Hospitality and Catering industry
  • Developing the ability to plan, prepare and cook different dishes
  • Developing the practical skills required within the catering industry
  • Completing tasks that mirror industry practices.
