A school’s governing body helps steer the school, establish its vision and ethos and challenge the staff to deliver the goals that are set. This body is part of a team committed to improving the lives and future prospects of young people.
To further enhance the improvements in progress at Ormiston Park Academy, as of 21 March 2024 an Interim Advisory Board (IAB) has been implemented, which will provide the academy with intensive governance support.
The IAB is chaired by Stuart Lock, CEO of Advantage Schools, along with other members who bring a collective wealth of experience in leading and improving schools. This means that the activity of our previous Local Governing Body has now concluded. We thank all members of the LGB personally for the support and contributions they have made to date, and know they will remain valued members of our school community.
