Overview of governance

A school’s governing body helps steer the school, establish its vision and ethos and challenge the staff to deliver the goals that are set. This body is part of a team committed to improving the lives and future prospects of young people.

To further enhance the improvements in progress at Ormiston Park Academy, as of March 2024 an Interim Advisory Board (IAB) was implemented, to provide the academy with intensive governance support. The IAB is chaired by Aron Whiles, Ormiston Education Director, along with other members who bring a collective wealth of experience in leading and improving schools.
